People of Ballaghaderreen

The latest phase of my ongoing portrait project brings me to Ballaghaderreen to photograph the people who make the town their home.

Through natural-light portraits, I aim to recognise the individuality of each person while bringing together a collective portrait of the community. Welcoming established residents and those who have arrived more recently, this phase celebrates the different faces, backgrounds and experiences that contribute to life in Ballaghaderreen. Each encounter is an opportunity to meet, talk and create a photograph together, adding to a growing photographic record of people and place in the West of Ireland.
